I have Avast 4.8 home edition. Someone told me that if and when it detects a virus or spyware, don’t quarantine it, delete it. Is the virus removal tool the one I use to delete it ?
My computer shuts down when I play certain games and It has just recently started doing that. I have been playing these same games for months and believe the problem is coming from malicious software.
My computer is running very slowly. So I just want to be sure there are no viruses on it and if there is i want to be able to remove it without being forced to pay for it.
I know that I can install things in safe mode but some programs won’t let you run them in safe mode. So how can I run the software to remove the virus if it keeps restarting?
Both of these links didn’t show me anything. Does someone else know what to do and can explain it?
It keeps restarting. I can’t go into to anything like control panel. I can’t even find it in safe mode.
I don’t have alot of money to pay for the big companies subscription based antivirus software so I’m looking for the best I can get freeware or otherwise. Prevx worked well but I used up the 30 day trial. Also have spybot but that’s not doing so well either. Any other suggestions?
I have a spyware program that is blocking internet access so there fore I can’t download updates before running. The 3 programs I am having problems with are error cleaner, privacy protector,and spyware & malware protection. I am trying to keep from reformating all together.

also when i log in into my computer everyday after starting it up. These black boxes appear with my user log in name and have codes in them. what do they mean?
