Our Hp computer keeps running slower and slower. We have deleted many files to no avail. We are also buying a new laptop and don’t want the same problem.

I am using a Mac PowerPC g4 processor at 450mhz. I have Mac OSX4 installed. Is there anything I can do to make it go faster?
I’m too cheap to buy a new computer and this one has to last, but today’s software is doing a number on it.
I went from 1 GB of RAM to 2 GB for my dell Latitude D820 with duo-core processors. Is there a setting or way to optimize this upgrade and/or the performance of my computer other then then keeping it defragmented and running virus checks. thanks

Without having to purchase Regfix, Recure etc, which cost about £20-£30.
I have a 64 MB graphics card and a 2.8 Ghz speed and 640 MB RAM .But all of a sudden my computer has become slow and games such as Warcraft which used to work fast has become slow and is slowing down.Is there a way to increase the speed ?????Ive aldready used ashampoo winoptimizer but it stiil doesnt seem to speed up……..
