I have 2 computers, one in a different house, can i connect them to one for file sharing

I had to do a restore on my computer. On my computer if I go to network connections, it only say incoming connections, 1394 connection, and local area connection but no wireless connection, how do I fix this?

I configured the router, and set up a password, but when I connect to MY network, everything is fine, but I look on the ‘view all networks’ list, and there is a bunch of other ones there too. does those other networks within my range slow down the data speed of my router, even tho im not connected to them? if so, then how do i have my computers never ’see’ the other networks? Someone told me there is a way to lock out the other networks, but I dont know how.

I need help, i’m trying to find an answer on software to detect and track complex network intrusion attacks on Linux networks only. For example, i need to find what programming languages are used and why they are used.

My kids bypass the filters I have set up on our secured network by accessing an unsecured wireless network. I would like to remove the unsecured networks from the list of availalbe networks but do not know how to do this in Vista. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, my friend is trying to connect to a wireless network on his comp (XP), but when he clicks on the network to connect to it, it says it’s connecting and then the list of networks just refreshes itself. It’s like the network disappears when he tries to connect to it. What do you think could be the problem?

I have a wireless broadband router and I’m on a laptop. I can’t connect to my secured network. I can connect to unsecured networks though.

Bridges are useful when different networks that use hubs are connected to each other to reduce network traffic. But what if all the hubs are replaced with switches? Does having bridges still provide any benefit at all?
