I’m trying to find the perfect combination of different protection and optimization software for my computer. So far, I have:

Windows XP
Zone Labs Integrity Client
Kaspersky Anti Virus
Spy Sweeper
Windows Firewall
Auslogics Boostspeed Optimization
O & O Defrag Professional Edition
Internet Browser – Mozilla Firefox
Ad-Aware 2007 Free Edition

Now my questions are:

1. Should any of these be replaced with better software?
2. Should I get another software for an aspect of computer protection or optimization that I forgot about?
3. Is the NOD32 computer protection software good?
4. I have the option of getting Kaspersky Internet Security with no cost. Do I need it?

i just got a new computer today and i was wonder if is worth to pay a 100 bucks for office depot to optimize my computer. If so does it help the computer in anyway?

what is disk optimization? what is it for? after i scanned my computer it says:
Drive C: Optimization not required, current disk fragmentation is 1%

what does that mean? (please dont use complicated words..)

i use norton antivirus if that helps anything…

A friend gave me some ram for my system and I would like to know if it is effective for use w/ my other ram. I have 4 slots for ram. In M4 and M3, I have ASN168TM-75. In M2, I have HY57V64820HG0051A T-H. In M1 I have MT48LC2M8A1 TG -10 S. The Mother Board is a P6L40-A4.

best buy promises on making a computer faster. they put a store demo in store of a 2400 ram comp without optimization compared to a 512 ram computer with optimization and the 512 ram computer runs faster. i wonder what they do to the computer. i saw them put a memory card or something inside and a cd. i wonder what they were doing on the comp for 40 minutes.
they also used something like a MRI connection
they advertise saying that they use video card
or some kind of card…

My computer started running slower and I just want it to get back in action, but when I go online for a tool, I keep getting these free scans but no problem solving BS! I just want to make my computer what it use to be without having to pay any cash. I MEAN COME ON! I spent $700 on a computer and I can’t even get a free fix when it comes down in speed?!

I have a lot of people ask me what can I do to clean up my computer and make it run faster. What software do you recommend to clean up a persons computer and keep it free of trojans and what not? Thanks.l

Im running a pretty basic dell and I think its really time for an upgrade. I dont want to buy everything new, So I just want to upgrade a few things.

First off I have 1 Gig RAM
3.4 Ghz Processor
Radeon X300 Graphics card

Now im thinking about buying a GeForce 8800GTS 640MB to replace the X300. Would I simply be able to swap the two cards out and add a 2 Gig DDR Ram without changing anything else? Or would I need to change other things for my computer to even work.
Im really planning on running Crysis and UT3(Medium-high settings at best )

Im using a Dell Dimension 4700 for the Record. I used that crucial scan and it said I can support up to 4 gigs of Ram.

But how can I tell the best graphics card my computer can hold

Which program…Auslogics Boostspeed…or Uniblue Powersuite is best for optimization?

Both have serials and is registered.

If anyone has other great suggestions, please tell me!
